COVID-19 Pandemic: What Can Medical Practices Do Right Now?

Posted on Mar 25, 2020 by

The COVID-19 pandemic has our focus, but there are some simple things we can help you with NOW to keep your practice positioned well.

Life as we know it has turned upside down in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a nation, we’re trying to social distance, wash our hands better, and not rush to stores in panic mode.

We’re working on it.

None of us have been disrupted more than those of you in healthcare who are on the front lines. You’re going in to work when many of us are staying at home, and you’re facing the virus head on. In some cases you’re even facing shortages in protective gear. And those of you on your healthcare team who do not see patients directly are doing everything you can to support your doctors and nurses. We see you, and we want to help.

Together, we can do several things right now to support your team and the stability of your medical practice. For example, we can help you send patient communications out through our platform via text or email. We can also help you manage your Google My Business (GMB) listing so you’ll have more time to focus on supporting your team.

We’ve put together a short list of actions we can help you take during the COVID-19 pandemic that will strengthen your practice.

Communicate with Your Patients

we can help you communicate with your patients

Communicating well with your patients is always important, but with the current COVID-19 pandemic, efficient information sharing is crucial. While the disruption is ongoing, we can use our platform to send out text and email communications to all your patients, to those with existing appointments, to patients of a specific doctor, or any group you choose. Just let us know what you would like to say, who you want it to go to, and whether you would prefer email, text, or both, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Collect Feedback from Surveys

surveys provide valuable feedback

Surveys are a great way to make sure your practice is meeting the needs of your patients. You can send out surveys we have already set up or customize them in any way you want. It’s important to give patients the opportunity to share their feelings and experiences during this time, and these surveys will give your patients a way to offer feedback and appreciation for the services you offer. Their valuable feedback can help you fine-tune your efforts to more fully meet their needs while things are in upheaval.

Create GMB Posts with Critical Information

create GMB posts to keep your patients informed

Though Google has limited some of the functionality of Google My Business (GMB) listings during the COVID-19 pandemic, you can still create posts to keep your patient base informed. This is a great way to provide updates on your local situation and give patients critical information they need to know. If you want patients to know when to create or cancel appointments, your adjusted office hours, when they should schedule a virtual visit, if they should reschedule surgeries to a surgery center rather than a hospital right now, or any other vital communication, a Google post is a great way to keep them informed.

It’s also important to keep in mind that GMB listings for critical health-related services are a priority for Google right now. Please reach out to us for any of your GMB needs, and let us help you.

Reach Out to Our Customer Success Team

Our customer success team is standing by to help lighten your load in any way we can. In addition to sending out communications and helping you post to your GMB listing, we can help in many other ways.

Build Your Presence Across Platforms

Now is a great time to make sure you have correct and updated information on all review platforms including Google, Healthgrades, Vitals, Facebook, and others. Give us the word, and we will make sure you’re set up and ready to go so you will be in a strong position when the COVID-19 pandemic is winding down.

We thank you for doing what you can to fight for our health and hope that our small efforts can help you weather the storm well positioned for the future.
