90 Day Rule
When patients receive a review request, by default they cannot receive another request from your practice for 90 days. The rule is in place so patients won’t be inundated with review requests due to follow-up visits. However, this can cause a problem if the patient is referred to a specialist within the same practice. When the patient visits the new doctor, the visit does not trigger an automated request being sent, and that specialist is missing out on reviews.
If you have specialists in your practice who are not receiving all the reviews they should, please reach out to your customer success representative. They can have your account set up to make an exception to the 90-day rule for your specialists. We don’t want any doctors missing out on reviews they should be receiving!
Lauren and Lacee
Please reach out to Lauren or Lacee with this or any other problems you may be experiencing. They would love to help you get everything working the way it should.
INDUSTRY TRENDS AND UPDATES
Time for a Category Update?
March 2021 brought some welcome updates to GMB listing categories. Google added 25 new categories in healthcare! If you are not satisfied with your current category, you can go in and see if one of the new categories more accurately describes what you do.
Remember that when you choose your listing category, you will want to choose the one that best fits the type of care you provide. If you do update your category, make sure you also update your description to reflect your new category as well as the content on any web page you have linked to.
