Reputation Management Named An Imperative for Orthopedics Groups

The 2018 Orthopedics Service Line Outlook, from Advisory Board, calls out Reputation Management as one of its four imperatives for 2018. They say that practices must “Respond to Rising Consumerism” among orthopedic patients.
“Orthopedics is a highly shoppable service line with a largely elective case mix. Self-referrals generate approximately one-fifth of orthopedic referrals as patients use reputation, word-of-mouth, and service brand to choose their provider. As high deductible health plans give their members transparency tools and financial incentives to compare costs, we will see even more shopping in orthopedics.”
